Does Milwaukee Brewers’ star catcher William Contreras have a wife? Not yet; however, he will soon. He is engaged to his girlfriend, Níxzali Adames Luna.
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported the engagement in February 2026, revealing: “Níxzali is the sister of Willy Adames, the former beloved Milwaukee shortstop who now plays for the San Francisco Giants.” Contreras, 28, made his Major League debut in 2020. He is from Venezuela. “Was engaged this past January to his fiancée, Níxzali (sister of Willy Adames)…Is the younger brother of Red Sox first baseman Willson Contreras,” his bio says.

Luna shared a video of the proposal to her Instagram page.
It shows a beach covered with red roses and a big heart fashioned out of the flowers. Then, Contreras walks into the scene, holding hands with Luna. Neon lights on the beach said, “Will you marry me?”
“I said YES! 💍♥️” Luna wrote. “Thank you for coming into my life and staying forever. I love you.” Watch the video here.
A photo she posted showed Contreras on bended knee. “Let’s be a team all our life ♥️
You with me, me with you and God with us 🤞🏼♥️” she wrote. The Milwaukee Brewers responded with yellow and blue heart emojis in the comment thread.

Contreras’s girlfriend’s page is mostly filled with photos showing her various outfits. “Endlessly blessed, forever grateful,” she wrote with one post. Some photos showed her at the All Star Game and MLB awards.
“Keep your essence and always take care of it ✨,” a translation of one of her photo captions reads. “On the other side of fears, there is life,” read another. “Let’s leave pretty footprints,” she wrote alongside a photo that showed her posing on a boat. Her page is filled with similar inspirational phrases. Some pictures show her in a graduation ceremony gown. “May the universe conspire in our favor,” she wrote with another post.

For his part, Contreras keeps his Instagram page largely focused on his baseball career. He occasionally posts photos that show a more candid side in his personal life, but most of his page is filled with career shots and information.
