The Department of Defense (DOD) released a new set of documents on Friday detailing reports of unidentified flying objects (UFOs), including witness accounts and drawings of alleged alien encounters in Utah in 2010, referred to as “Skinwalkers.”
According to a Newsweek report published on Friday, October 23, the latest release marks the seventh batch of documents made public since the initial set was released in May.
“Based on the tremendous interest shown, I will be directing the Secretary of War, and other relevant Departments and Agencies, to begin the process of identifying and releasing Government files related to alien and extraterrestrial life, unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP), and unidentified flying objects (UFOs)…” President Donald Trump said in a statement on February 20.
What’s in the Newly Released UFO Files?
The latest UFO files include witness statements and drawings documenting alleged “Skinwalker” sightings at a ranch in Utah. The sightings reportedly led to an investigation by a Utah task force, followed by two visits from Bigelow Aerospace Advanced Space Studies (BAASS) in March and April 2010.
An overview of the investigation, which was included within the tranche of DOD files, revealed that BAASS personnel “interviewed local residents, law enforcement officers, ranchers, business owners, and tribal community members about reported anomalous events.”
They also “used handheld sensors to collect environmental measurements; planned plant-based biosensor experiments; and sought photographic, acoustic, and chemical evidence of purported anomalous phenomena.”
According to the data, there have been “extensive reported accounts involving ‘dog-like bipedal creatures,’ orbs of light, ‘little people,’ ‘prehistoric-looking’ birds, among other phenomena.”
BAASS reportedly intended to use interactive methods to “attempt communication with the presumed source of reported anomalous activity.”
Other Sightings Reported
Aside from the alleged “Skinwalkers,” there have been reported sightings of unidentified flying objects from decades back.
At least three reports described a black, triangular-shaped craft flying over sensitive military installations, according to documents from the FBI and Pentagon. The object was reportedly spotted flying 200 to 300 feet above the ground and measured about 9 feet long, with a wingspan of approximately 13 feet.
Witnesses said the craft traveled around 1.5 miles in less than three seconds while passing near military personnel. It reportedly had no visible propulsion system and made no sound or emitted any lights. The Pentagon also released a rendering depicting the alleged object.
Friday’s release also included reports of cylinder-shaped objects spotted in Saudi Arabia, Sweden, and other locations during the 1960s and 1970s. Many of these documents had remained classified until their release.
