Milwaukee Brewers star Sal Frelick is sharing his love for Milwaukee and the team’s fanbase.
In a heartfelt Instagram post, Frelick wrote: “Thank you to the most passionate and supportive fanbase in the world. I didn’t know it was possible to fall in love with a city, until I became a Brewer. I’ve never been prouder to put a jersey on and I’ve never wanted anything more in my life than to give this fanbase a World Championship.”
Frelick became one of many fan favorites this year as the community embraced the Brewers, who delivered the Milwaukee Brewers’ first World Championship ever. The team made it to the World Series in 1982 but didn’t bring home the trophy, and the current team has been embraced with as much devotion as that one.
The post accrued more than 90,000 likes in just one day.

Frelick wasn’t done. He also posted a tribute to the other members of the team.
He continued: “And thank you to the most amazing teammates in the world that I get to call my best friends. Always having each other’s backs through the failure and success of this crazy game. There’s no better group of human beings I’ve ever been a part of.”
Concluded Frelick: “Friends for life.”
The team responded on Frelick’s post, which included a video of him rounding the bases: “A true gamer.”
