Legendary former Patriots coach Bill Belichick and his girlfriend of around 3 years, Jordon Hudson, parted ways late last year without drawing public attention to their breakup, TMZ reports.
Belichick, 74, and Hudson, 25, frequently appeared together at games and events, drawing commentary for their nearly 50-year age gap. They’ve continued stepping out together throughout all of 2026 so far, leaving fans none the wiser that their romantic relationship is apparently over.
TMZ says they learned of the split from sources close to the Jordon. The pair are still “committed to their business partnerships and remain close friends,” the outlet says they were told. The outlet also reported they learned Belichick’s UNC coworkers had no idea about the breakup for several months after it happened.
The report also says the source stated Jordon has been “seeing other people” but is not in a public relationship with anyone so far.

After spending 23 years with the Patriots that saw the team clinch 6 Super Bowl victories, Belichick retired from the organization.
He was affectionately praised by Patriots star Tom Brady, who called him “the best coach in the NFL” in a heartfelt Instagram post.
Brady also wrote, “He was a great leader for the organization, and for all of the players who played for him. We accomplished some amazing things over a long period of time, many of which will be hard to replicate. he worked every day to help us achieve the ultimate goal, in the ultimate team sport. And, although we were successful, some of the greatest lessons I learned were in the moments where we faced the most challenging adversities. He set the tone for the organization to never falter in the face of adversity, and to do what we could do, and what was in our control, which was to go out and DO OUR JOB.”
The former Wesleyan University athlete didn’t stay out of the game for long, taking on the role of head football coach at the University of North Carolina in December 2024.
Hudson has been seen at several of those games, even after their reported breakup. In November 2025, she posted an Instagram snap of herself at a game and wrote in the caption that she’s “loved” supporting Belichick at his “adult all-male football league competitions this season.”
She was back on the sidelines for the 2026 season.

Hudson has not shown much fondness for answering questions about her involvement with Belichick, shutting down a question about how they met from Tony Dokoupil on “CBS Sunday Mornings,” with the quick reply, “We’re not talking about this.”
Belichick stayed silent in response to the question.
In May, Hudson and Belichick attended the Kentucky Derby together, and Hudson shared a photo to Instagram with the caption, “Not the first time we’ve trudged through the mud together,” seeming to possibly allude to the scrutiny she and Belichick have received.
