Savannah Guthrie started off November 2026 by letting the world know her missing mother Nancy Guthrie is still on her mind and heart everyday. The longtime “Today” co-anchor illustrated her feelings by sharing an Instagram post showing an old piece of artwork on which her daughter wrote when she was younger, “I know it might not seem like it but I really need my mommy.” She added a second slide featuring a throwback photo of Nancy sweetly smiling.

Although Savannah resumed her television duties after taking a two-month hiatus amid the search for Nancy, her post indicates her family’s life is still anything but normal. “For Annie and Tommy, for Cam and Kristine, for Mike and me and for all of mom’s beloved grandchildren: we ache for her, we cry out for answers, we cannot move forward,” she wrote in a portion of the caption.
As she’s done many times in the months since her mother vanished, the journalist begged anyone with knowledge for clues. “We need someone to help us, tell us what you know. Our mom was a light in this world. We want to celebrate her and give her the dignity she deserves,” she wrote.

Nancy mysteriously vanished from her Catalina Foothills home near Tucson, Arizona after being dropped off there on the evening of January 31 by her daughter Annie and son-in-law Tommaso Cioni.
Afterwards, she received an outpouring of love and well-wishes from her fans and peers. The investigation was extensive, involving both the local Pima County Sheriff’s Office as well as the FBI. The most explosive piece of evidence was the recovery of footage from Nancy’s Google Nest camera showing a masked man approaching her door and attempting to cover the camera with what looked like shrubbery while toting a holstered handgun.
The clip yielded no solid leads, despite attempts to identify his clothing and backpack.
Savannah Guthrie Trying to ‘Be Strong’ for Her Kids
In her post, Savannah talked about trying to “be strong” and “keep going” for her two children, 11-year-old Vale and 9-year-old Charley. She observed that while the worlds keep going and things appear “normal,” “it’s not and never will be” for her family.
Savannah shares her two kids with Mike Feldman, her second husband whom she married in 2014. Mike released a statement on the third day of the search for Nancy, telling Page Six he felt “mostly unhelpful” and was “just being responsive.” He also said he had nothing to report.
Nancy Guthrie’s Neighbors Continue to Live With Unease as Suspect Remains at Large
The case has shaken Nancy’s formerly quiet neighborhood, and with the case still unsolved, residents have to continue living with uncertainty. In late February, the Daily Mail reported they’d learned people in the area were building secret “panic rooms” into their houses.
“There has been a huge spike in calls and business since the Guthrie case,” the outlet said they were told by Kevin Hand, a specialist at “Sportsman Steel Safes.” He said the business had been flooded with rush orders for steel doors and safe rooms, with many homeowners no longer satisfied with stopping at a camera system.
