President Donald Trump is offering Americans a chance to collect $1 million for reporting voter fraud.

According to Reuters, the president announced the offer on Monday, October 26, just eight days before the midterm elections, saying people who provide information leading to an arrest and conviction could qualify for payment.

Trump Announces $1 Million Reward for Voter Fraud Tips

Trump, 80, announced the reward on Truth Social, extending it to suspected fraud in both previous elections and the upcoming midterms.

“Anybody reporting Voter Fraud in the past Elections, or the upcoming 2026 Midterm Election, will be paid $1,000,000 upon the arrest and conviction of those who created the Fraud!”

The announcement comes as voters prepare to head to the polls on Tuesday, November 3, when control of Congress will be at stake.

Trump has repeatedly argued that stronger measures are necessary to protect American elections, although his longstanding claims of widespread fraud affecting previous election outcomes have not been substantiated.

Despite announcing the substantial reward, Trump did not explain how it would be funded or administered. Still, questions remain about how the reward would work and where the money would come from.

According to ABC News, the White House declined to provide additional information about the proposal.

It remains unclear whether the money would come from an existing federal program, a newly established fund, or another source. The president also did not specify where people should submit tips, what evidence would be required, or which agency would determine eligibility.

When Newsweek asked the Justice Department whether it would oversee the reward, the department responded, “We defer to the White House.”

Trump Recently Announced Another Fraud Whistleblower Program

The latest announcement follows a separate initiative Trump and Vice President JD Vance unveiled on Tuesday, October 20.

According to the Associated Press, the administration established a $25 million Fraud Whistleblower Incentive Program to encourage Americans to report suspected fraud involving federal programs.

Under the program, qualifying tipsters can receive rewards of up to $30,000 for information that leads to convictions or significant enforcement actions.

Trump also described a payment system tied to the amount of fraud uncovered, with whistleblowers potentially receiving a 1% commission per Yahoo Finance.

The president said he would personally resolve competing claims over who deserved payment. However, officials have not clarified whether the new $1 million voter fraud offer is connected to that initiative.

Trump’s Election Fraud Crackdown Ahead of 2026 Midterms

Trump has made election security a major focus ahead of November’s congressional elections. He has also backed the SAVE America Act, legislation that would add voter identification and citizenship-verification requirements.

The House approved the measure earlier this year, but the Senate has not advanced it.

Federal authorities have pursued investigations and prosecutions involving alleged illegal voting and voter registration offenses, according to the Associated Press. Those charges do not establish guilt.

While individual instances of voter fraud have occurred, there is no evidence that widespread voter fraud altered the outcome of the 2020 presidential election.

For now, Trump’s announcement remains an offer without a publicly explained application process, leaving prospective tipsters uncertain about how they could qualify for the promised $1 million.
