President Donald Trump was hit with major backlash from Americans after boasting that the United States has the best healthcare in the world.

The former “Apprentice” host called into Fox News’ Sunday Morning Futures on Sunday, October 25, with guest host and his former economic adviser Larry Kudlow.

“I have friends that have these private health plans and they’re given by these big grade companies — insurance companies, healthcare companies — and they love it. It’s not expensive and it’s great,” Trump, 80, said.

He went on to claim that Canadians — which has a universal health care system — often come south to the States for medical procedures.

“We have the best healthcare plans in the world. Now it doesn’t cover everybody, but it covers a lot of people,” Trump added.

Reactions to Trump’s Remarks

Social media sounded off after the clip of Trump’s conversation with Kudlow began to circulate.

“Actually there are many countries where they have healthcare plans that cover everyone which is how it is supposed to work because everyone deserves healthcare, not just some people, Larry,” one user shared via X.

“If it doesn’t cover everybody, it isn’t the best. That’s not a boast—it’s a confession. Coverage is getting worse, not better,” another wrote.

“Our healthcare plans suck and they keep getting worse and more expensive,” a third noted.

“All citizens should have the same plan as congress. Full stop,” yet another chimed in.

Trump Backs Mike Rogers

Trump immediately headed to Michigan following his chat with Kudlow to attend support senate candidate Mike Rogers.

Rogers, a Republican, is running against Dr. Abdul El-Sayed, who is running on a “Medicare for All” platform.

The president doubled down on his earlier statements after taking to the podium.

“Your private healthcare is going to be gone,” he told the crowd in Port Huron, Michigan. “I have so many friends with private health care. They absolutely love it.”

The race between Rogers and El-Sayed remains tight as the midterm election nears.
