A few months back, President Donald Trump and comedian Bill Maher buried the hatchet after feuding back in 2013.

That detente appears to have gone out the window, however, judging by Trump’s latest social media post lambasting the host of HBO’s “Real Time.”

‘Complete and Total Loser’

On Sunday, October 25, Trump unleashed a 1,321-word post on his Truth Social platform, his longest social-media post ever.

“Let’s talk about this COMPLETE AND TOTAL LOSER, Bill Maher,” Trump wrote, informing Maher that he’s no longer welcome in the White House after previously being hosted by Trump twice, in March 2025 and again on October 15 of this year, where he was part of a group that included ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith and rapper Kid Rock.

As the post continued, Trump described Maher’s HBO talk show as a “Low Rated Show” and slammed HBO for not being as good as it once was.

Trump also claimed Maher had constantly sought him to appear on the show — but insisted that would never take place.

Trump also slammed Maher as a “major POTHEAD” who “looked like hell this time,” referencing the October 15 dinner that comprised much of the focus of Trump’s post.

“It didn’t last four hours, it lasted two hours, maybe less, and everybody was happy,” Trump wrote. “We have the timestamps. I learned nothing, and felt it was a waste of time,” he added, referring to Maher as “a Goofball.”

Trump also disputed comments Maher made “Real Time” about the president’s low poll numbers. “I have High Ratings and, more importantly, he said that I’m losing the support and approval of the Republican Party when, in fact, CNN just came out with a Poll showing that I’m at 98 and 99% support within the Republican Party, an All Time Record High,” Trump wrote.

Trump also praised the performance of former White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, who appeared as a guest on the Friday, October 24 edition of “Real Time.”

“Karoline Leavitt was GREAT on the show, but she started with a biased, dumb SLEAZEBAG, asking questions. She defended me, and herself, so well, but couldn’t be comfortable going against Lie after Lie,” the president wrote.

“I never watched your show much, but I will never watch it again, because it is nothing more than FAKE NEWS that America, and the World, is unfortunately subjected to,” Trump concluded.

A Long-Burning Feud

Trump and Maher first tussled back in 2013, before the “Celebrity Apprentice” host announced his bid for president.

At that point, Trump was among the most vocal proponents of the so-called “birther” movement claiming that then-President Barack Obama was born in Kenya, not America, and was therefore not legally entitled to be POTUS.

As Politico reported, Maher joked about Trump’s demands to see Obama’s birth certficate during an appearance on “The Tonight Show,” telling host Jay Leno that he’d donate $5 million to a charity of Trump’s choice if the real estate mogul would provide him with his birth certificate in order to prove Trump wasn’t “spawn of his mother having sex with orangutan.”

Trump subsequently sued Maher after providing a copy of his birth certificate, seeking the $5 million the comedian had offered; Trump subsequently withdrew the suit.
