The Seattle Seahawks dominated the Kansas City Chiefs in a 20-3 victory on Sunday, October 25, handing Kansas City its first loss of the season and dropping the team to a 5-1 record.
However, the Seahawks weren’t about to celebrate their big win without having a little fun at their opponent’s expense. The team took a Taylor Swift-inspired approach to its postgame trolling, bringing the pop star into the conversation thanks to her connection to Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, whom she married this July.
Seahawks Use Their Mascot To Take Playful Jab At Taylor Swift & the Chiefs

The Seattle Seahawks didn’t just beat the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday night; they also found a Taylor Swift-inspired way to rub salt in the wound. According to Us Weekly, the Seahawks poked fun at the Chiefs’ loss with references to the pop star, a move that may not have gone over well with some die-hard Chiefs fans and Swifties, but it certainly added a humorous twist to their win.
Following the game, the Seahawks took to Instagram to share a photo of their mascot, Blitz, dressed in a sequin-covered outfit reminiscent of Swift’s signature glittery onstage ensembles. “Lately, I’ve been dressin’ for revenge,” the caption read, referencing Swift’s song, “Vigilante [Expletive].”
The results of the game were also shown above Blitz’s head.
Those in the comment section called the photo “savage,” while another wrote, “This was SHADY 😂😂😂.” In fact, a few Swifties entered the conversation, finding the photo harmless and quite funny. “As a Swiftie since 2006 and a 12 for just as long, YES. 💚💙.”
Seahawks Troll Chiefs With Taylor Swift Friendship Bracelet Reference

The Seahawks didn’t just stop at using their mascot in a playful Swift jab. Taking to their official Instagram account, the team posted two friendship bracelets in the team’s colors, with one reading “Seahawks” and the second reading “Win.” They also captioned their post, “End Game,” a reference to another Swift song.
The bracelets reference Swift fans, known as Swifties, who create and trade friendship bracelets during the singer’s “Eras Tour.” In fact, People reported that before dating, Kelce attended one of those concerts in July 2023, in hopes of giving Swift a bracelet with his phone number on it. Although he wasn’t able to give it to her, they ended up connecting, with fans seeing Swift attending one of his games that September. They officially wed this July at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
While it’s been reported that the trolling wasn’t a big hit with Swifties, others couldn’t believe how worked up some fans were getting over the playful joke.
“I’m a huge Swiftie, and I cannot believe people are getting so worked up about it. I thought it was funny! 🤷🏻♀️” A fan shared in the comments. “Not enough people are appreciating the social team for this one. 👏” Another read. “Im a swiftie and this is hilarious,” a comment read.
