Kimberly Guilfoyle reportedly plans to stay in Europe after resigning as U.S. ambassador to Greece, with one insider saying she hopes to find a wealthy husband abroad.

According to Page Six, an unnamed source said the former Fox News host is reluctant to return to the United States after the White House requested her resignation amid misconduct allegations.

“She is embarrassed to come back to the US. She’s ashamed,” the source claimed.

The insider also alleged that Guilfoyle plans to find a “rich husband in Europe.”

Guilfoyle has not publicly confirmed those plans. She has denied the misconduct allegations against her and said she intends to “vigorously defend” herself.

The report comes after Guilfoyle stepped down on October 13, following a series of reports about her conduct during her time as ambassador.

Kimberly Guilfoyle’s Future With Trump Family Reportedly in Question

The unnamed insider also claimed Guilfoyle could struggle to find another position connected to President Donald Trump or his political circle.

“She’s done in Trump world,” the source alleged. “Who will hire her? No one will go near her.”

Guilfoyle previously dated Donald Trump Jr. from 2018 until 2024 and campaigned for his father during his presidential campaigns.

The president addressed her resignation during a White House briefing, acknowledging her former relationship with his son.

“She, I guess, dated my son a long time ago,” Trump said. “But she went to Greece. She was doing a good job, but we didn’t like what we were reading.”

The president’s comments followed reports questioning Guilfoyle’s relationships with business executives and her activities while serving in Greece.

Misconduct Allegations Preceded Ambassador’s Resignation

The Wall Street Journal published several reports detailing allegations involving Guilfoyle before she left her position.

One report examined her relationship with Christos Marafatsos, a Maryland-born lobbyist connected to the Greek construction company Aktor Group.

The report alleged that Guilfoyle promoted the company’s interests and that Marafatsos attended official meetings so frequently that some foreign officials believed he served as her chief of staff.

Other allegations involved a reported request for a $3 million investment in her vodka company, Polished Rice.

Guilfoyle was also accused of asking Trump donor Eric Deters to pay a $100,000 American Express bill in exchange for assistance with his tax and legal matters.

Additional reporting alleged that she discussed private jet travel and luxury hotel stays provided by prominent business executives.

The allegations remain disputed, and Guilfoyle has denied wrongdoing.

Gavin Newsom Responds to Ex-Wife’s Departure From Ambassador Role

California Gov. Gavin Newsom also addressed Guilfoyle’s resignation while campaigning for Democrats in New Hampshire on Saturday, October 17.

Speaking with CBS News, Newsom said he hadn’t spoken with his former wife recently and didn’t have enough information to discuss the allegations.

“I haven’t talked to her in a while,” Newsom said. “I just wish her the best, and I don’t have much, honestly, much more to say on it. It’s unfortunate.”

Newsom and Guilfoyle first met at a Democratic fundraiser in San Francisco in 1994, according to Business Insider.

They began dating in 1995 and married in 2001 before divorcing in 2006.
